Privacy note

What we collect: your email address. You're added to the list only after you confirm. Nothing else is asked for.

Our record: when you confirm, we note the date and time, which signup form you used and which version of its wording you agreed to. It's kept with your email address, as proof you asked to join.

Why: to email you when something new is released, including things for sale.

Where it lives: with Resend, an email company in the United States, which sends the emails for us. Resend also keeps a short record of each email it sends, including the confirm email. Our host, Vercel, keeps its own log of each request. When you confirm, your email address is kept out of that log, except in rare cases, such as when Resend already holds your address outside our list.

Your IP address: our host sees it, as every web host does, and the form uses it for a few minutes to stop abuse. It's never added to the list.

Bot check: when you send the form, our host, Vercel, runs a quick check in your browser to tell a person from a script. It looks at your browser and connection details, not your email address, and we don't keep the result.

On your device: the site remembers in your browser when this visit began and whether you've seen the signup card or signed up, so it doesn't ask twice. It also remembers small things like your map style and which Cabinet objects you've opened. None of that leaves your browser. The site's visitor counts are anonymous, and no cookie is used to count you.

Leaving: every letter we send has an unsubscribe link. If you never want an email from us at an address, not even a confirm email, write to hello@ember-atlas.com and we'll block it. We keep a blocked address so the block keeps working, and lift it if you ask.

Deleting: write to hello@ember-atlas.com and your address is deleted.

Who: The Ember Atlas is made by Michelle Hardi in Melbourne, Australia.

We never sell or share the list.
